A recent exploration at the Edakkal Caves has revealed a picture of a man with a jar, a unique sign similar to those found in the so-called Indus civilisation.
Engraved supposedly with a stone-axe in linear style, the sign has stark similarities with the Indus culture. It is for the first time that a sign similar to Indus style is been discovered in Kerala. This discovery gives credence to the views that the ancient Indian civilisation was much older and vastly spread than the Indus valley as imagined and propagated by British archeologists.
