Border Security Force will assist forest authorities to check poaching of wildlife in the Kaziranga National Park, which has witnessed unprecedented killing of the one-horned rhinos by poachers in recent months.
The BSF, on receiving request, would assist the forest authorities in patrolling inside the Park and share intelligence on poachers and their activities.
A BSF camp is located at Panbari about 10 km from Kaziranga National Park.
According to forest officials, there are currently more than 2100 rhinos in the Park.
